This is the Avent limited edition blue colour...so far i never seen in the mall at Kuching... I ordered from the friend who stayed at UK RM50 for 1 bottle...made from PP... We are Avent lover...and Vish himself so demanding starting when he was 9 months...he only favor Avent...I have tried other brand before but he simply throw it...

These are all his used BPA free bottles with various type of brands from Avent, Dr.Brown, Disney, Lifefactory etc...but mostly are Avent....when he was 1yr below i changed twice a month but now once a month...although recommended to change once in every 3 mons...anway i kan fussy mommy...

We were having father's day dedication dinner at Aurora Court, Merdeka Palace Hotel & Suites on the 18th June 2011. Before that, in the afternoon we were having lunch at Sushi King, The Spring, mommy favourite Japanese restaurant. This is the 2nd year we celebrated a father's day. It is the turn for Mommy & Vish to treat Daddy for being good, responsible, caring & loving father. Daddy we love u very much. Mommy is really thankful for having best hubby like u. U are very understanding & always support mommy in everything I do..muaaaaaaaaaah....

Well the food here is quite nice although not as nice as our favourite restaurant Orchird Garden at Grand Magherita Hotel (formerly known as Holiday Inn). Mommy Birthday are gonna held there this 23rd June. Having fine dining with energetic and super active boy like Vish is not an easy task. He just can't sit still. He bang the plates and was broke ceramic spoon. Best thing was, he dipped roasted chicken in orange juice. Mommy is speechless!!! Anyhow most precious moment being a mom & dad is Vish greeted two of us happy mother's & father's day on that special day. He also hugged & kissed us. Despite his activeness he is very smart & clever boy.

Mommy has proposed to daddy that our next holiday destination for 2012 will be Hong Kong somewhere in February either during the Chinese New Year or Valentine Day (our 6th anniversary). Can't wait to taste HK foods & shopping there. Actually our target is Hong Kong Disneyland, the world of fun. Before we have taught that Japan will be the nice place but due to tsunami everything has damaged so switch the plan to HK. However this is just a PLAN and not sure whether UiTM approve my leave as I will start working in January 2012. Hopefully yes.

FYI in Malaysia we are facing difficulty to get this type of formula as not many choices available in the market (mostly for infant below 12 becoz the cases for those 1yr and above is very rare) and it olso quite expensive...but for the sake of the child as Etiey said it doesn't matter as long as Esyraf membesar bagai juara....so Etiey this is some information about hypoallergenic infant formula...it specially designed for infant with allergy to milk protien...however i would advice etiey to confirm whether esyraf is really having milk allergy or just lactose intolerance coz there is a bit different between these two...milk allergy mean he will develop the symptom (vomitting, pain, diarhea) immediately after drinking but lactose intolerance he will develop the symptom lebih lama mcm seminggu atau berbulan.

Based on what etiey has told i guess Esyraf might be having lactose intolerance not milk allergy. If so soon he will be like normal kid who can take ordinary formula as he grow up. My advice is Etiey can get second opinion from other paed instead of relying merely on only one paed.by the way I don't have medical background to enable me giving the advice..it more to sharing based on research through reading.....hopefully this will give little help to Etiey....don't worry Etiey as Esyraf grown up slowly he will be able to take "ordinary formula"..by the way Pediasure is good choice, it is lactose free + with complete nutrition..again before decided which type of formula u choose please read the label thoroughly and get the approval from paed ....but remember this hypoallergenic fomula has 3 major problems protien, carbohydrate, salt and fat problem.

Hypoallergenic Infant Formula

Hypoallergenic infant formulas are used to help prevent and treat allergic diseases in babies and, occasionally, in children. They are usually derived from cow's milk, but because of the way their proteins have been broken down, they are well-tolerated by most infants.
Using Hypoallergenic Formulas:

Hypoallergenic formulas are commonly recommended in three situations: for babies born into highly atopic families (those with a high number of allergic conditions like asthma, eczema , hay fever, or food allergies) who won't be breastfed or who need a supplementary formula; for babies who are allergic to or intolerant of proteins in formula or breast milk; or for nutrition in people with eosinophilic esophagitis who are allergic to a great many foods.

Types of Hypoallergenic Formulas:

Hypoallergenic formulas come in three main varieties: partially hydrolyzed, extensively hydrolyzed, and free amino acid-based. Hydrolyzed formulas have had the larger protein chains broken down into shorter, easy-to-digest proteins, while free amino acid-based formulas do not include protein chains at all but rather contain all the basic amino acids. Partially hydrolyzed formulas differ from extensively hydrolyzed formulas in that their protein chains can be longer. Alimentum, Nutramigen, and Pregestimil are among brands of hydrolyzed formulas, while Neocate, Elecare, and Nutramigen AA are amino acid formulas.

Paying for Hypoallergenic Formulas:

Hypoallergenic formulas are far more expensive than regular cow's milk formulas. This is one of their major drawbacks.

Working With Your Pediatrician:

Not every child responds well to every hypoallergenic formula. The American Academy of Pediatrics has recommended extensively hydrolyzed formulas for infants who are not breastfed and who cannot tolerate cow's milk formulas due to allergy.

However, a small percentage of babies do not tolerate extensively hydrolyzed formulas well. A 2008 study examined amino acid formulas and determined that babies who did not tolerate the extensively hydrolyzed formula grew well and were healthier when fed an amino acid formula.

What does this mean for your baby? First, make sure that your doctor is aware of the first sign of food allergy symptomsor other feeding-related difficulties (diarrhea, painful or bloody stools, consistent crying with feedings, or other unusual symptoms that seem to recur with every feeding). Second, don't be discouraged if the first formula your doctor tries for your child isn't a good fit: Several options are on the market, and most families do find one that's satisfactory.

HYPOALLERGENIC FORMULAS

(Alimentum, Nutramigen, Pregestamil) If you see the term "hypoallergenic" on the label, this means that the formula has been proven to cause fewer allergies in babies than standard formulas. Since, by definition, the term "allergy" implies a sensitivity to a protein, the term "hypoallergenic" means that the protein in the formula has been "hydrolyzed" or "predigested," broken down into tinier proteins that are less likely to cause allergic reactions.

Consider these potential problems with hydrolyzed protein formulas.

* The protein problem: In contrast to formulas that advertise "partially hydrolyzed protein," in these formulas the proteins need to be completely hydrolyzed or broken down into smaller parts in order for the label to carry the term "hypoallergenic." This requires intense processing that results in a bitter, almost unpalatable flavor, despite the high content of sweeteners. Tasting one of these formulas is enough to make any mother want to re-lactate.
* The carbohydrate problem. When the protein is hydrolyzed, the lactose is also taken out of the milk, so the manufacturer has to add carbohydrates
* The salt problem. Hypoallergenic formulas are 30 to 90 percent higher in salt.
* The fat problem. The fat blend of Alimentum or Nutramigen is the same as found in each manufacturer's cow's-milk-based formulas, Similac and Enfamil, respectively. The primary fats in Pregestamil are medium-chain triglycerides, an intestinal-friendly fat that is used in children with fat malabsorption disorders. MCT's are a factory-made fat. They do not occur in nature, and they provide no essential fatty acids essential for a baby's growing brain and body. MCT's can be used as an energy supplement to boost weight gain in infants growing slowly. Yet, they should not be a baby's main fat source unless advised by your doctor. Pregestamil should not be given to healthy babies with no proven fat malabsorption disorders, or to infants with impaired liver function.
* The price problem. The infant pays a high nutritional price for these formulas, and parents discover that hypoallergenic formulas are four to five times more expensive than standard formulas.

LITTLE READER BY BRILLKID (picture taken from the official web of brillkid)...this is very much similar to YBCR specifically designed to teach baby to read which emphasize on phonic method. It not only come with CD, flash cards and books but also with software. FYI i only bought the software due to problem in shipping the hardware (CD, flash cards and books). Coz my friend did bought the deluxe kit which including software and hardware but when it arrive to Malaysia all are damaged. I don't want to take risk. It is more easy just to get the license and install in ur computer. It only can be install in two computers. Use for lifetime. Boleh diwariskan kepada anak2 yg seterusnya. Brill kid olso has Little Math, Little Mandarin. But these two i haven't buy. For me this program is superb...among all I like this the MOST...details info u click here. Now it seems a great challenge for me to teach vish using this program at this age as he loves to smash the computer unlike before. However I try my best use LRat least 3 times a week..kalau tak guna rugi pulak..stop once he has shown the symptom of become incredible hulk...most of the time i just use YBCR and Baby Einstein.

BABY EINSTEIN SERIES. This is Vish favourite series especially animal in the farm. It has books, flash cards and CD. I strongly recommend the CD as it is very effective to teach ur child about colours, shapes, many different languages, songs, animals, environment, body parts, water, farm etc..bahasa perancis and jepun pun ada jugak...memang best this product...kira complete semuanya...It has 20 series of CD...I am very thankful Vish really learn a lot from both baby einstein flash card and CD ....he know most of wild and farm animal/body parts before reach one it is so fun and enjoyable even me myself loves to watch with him...the flash card also interesting as it show the real images of things...I tell I am very choosy in buying either books or flash card for vish...I dont like cartoon character!!! however some of baby einstein flash card and book has cartoon charater..so be good in choosing...

YOUR BABY CAN READ PROGRAM BY DR.TITZER. It is designed specifically to teach baby to read as early age since 4 months onwards...It come with CD, flash card and books. The YBCR program is based on the fact that your baby uses associations to learn new things. It will show them what the word looks like, show them a picture of the word in action and let the baby hear the sound of the word in action as well. So using the senses of sight and sound your child is being entertained by seeing all the pieces together. I strongly believe child brains are just geared to learn language much better than ours and learn much faster. After I have shown Vish the flash card then I will enhance the learning process by play him the YBCR CD. So it is so enjoyable. Once a day for about 30 minutes for both flash card session and CD session. First of all, the main reason I am so eager to teach my Vish to read at such a young age is so he would have a head start in school and in this crucial stage of the development of their brains. Many parents wait too long to even try to teach their children anything, but they are very capable (even at a few months old) of learning basic concepts if you are willing to teach them. I was looking for a reading system that not only taught him how to read, but how to think things through and make these mental challenges fun as well.

Learning system by leafrog...this is our friends since vish 3 mons..I likes this product very much...especially the leappad touch (pink colour)...mommy is not intentionally bought pink colour for vish but blue is out of stock...just touch the picture or words then it will make a sound either reading or singing. the green colour is using pen like croco pen. Touch the word or images with pen then it will read/spell or sing or make a sound.

Croco Pen...the talking magical pen brings every inch of the book pages or every piece of learning material to life with sounds, words, ryhmes, music and games. To use it is simple just touch the pen to any word or images and it will make a sound. Very interesting but Vish just loves to licks the pen. For the time being mommy has keep this croco pen until he reach 3yrs..

This is some of Vish flash cards collections. Im sure most of us aware the benefits of flash cards to teach our child about things and even to teach them to read. I would recommend double sided flash card. word in front and picture at the back. This is the best method not only to tell them about thing but READ as well. To make it effective please flash one card in one second. Repeat this twice a day. start with a few flash card (eg 5 cards per session) then increase as the card gradually. However please stop once child has shown they are getting bored.

Story book that I sometimes read to Vish before sleeping or leisure time. Take about 2 to 5 minutes.

This entry is specially created for Mommy Livana, Mommy Morney, Mommy Etiey and other mommies who have asking me about Vish education materials. Kira dh langsai hutang ye..FYI I have six main educational materials as an aidto teach him, including software, books, electronic devices, CD, blocks and toys. I'll explain some of the methods here. Each of the materials has their own pros and cons. So choose the right one that suit u and ur child the most, doesn't matter it cheap or expensive. You olso can make ur own flash card using manila card. Just that give an extra effort no matter how busy we are. Early child education is extremly important particularly in today's modern sophisticated world. Remember ,all babies/kids are genius just that we are degenusing them, we dont understand or underestimate their potential, or more worst ignore..selalu dengar "cikgu kan ada utk ajar"..aik jgn depend merely dengan cikgu as a parents we olso need to play our part. At early age babies/kids brain are like sponge. so apa yang diorang observe, see, touch, feel etc senang nak absorb. makin awal kita ajar makin bagus.

But no matter what materials u use and utilize , my advice is please DO NOT FORCE our young child to "study / learn hard" by forcing them to read/write/learn. Bare in mind, at early age child learn through playing. Make the teaching and learning process as fun and enjoyable as possible without making ur child stress. I never force Vish to attach to book or other education materials, i let him in love with it naturally. I'll stop the "reading session" before he feel bored. I want him to have the feeling of "I still want more and more". Honestly I never taught Vish Alphabet /ABC coz for me there is no point if they know how to pronounce/memorize/sing A-Z but don't know the function of letters and make a word from the letter. What we can see in Malaysia most kindergarten start with ABC. I dont say it wrong but what for if the child is only memorize the letters without knowing how the connection of letter which make a word . I believe in phonic word . What is phonic? Ill tell the details in other entry. However Vish did learn alphabet from his babysitter, CD and song. That is the bonus for us. How about numbers? YES it need to be teach as early as possible.

Some parents said another difficulty is to keep the child focus. Yup I olso facing the same problem. Well they are prefer to walking, wandering, exploring etc thus less time to focus on book / flash card/ for example. So be creative u do the game and playing together with the child. Sedangkan adult lagi pandai boring inikan pula budak2 kan. By the way, I'll will discuss about this in detail in other entry.

Sometimes they don't automatically or immediately catch up what u teach. So janganlah fikir anak u lembab sebab dia slow in term of "pick up level" Every child is unique so don't try to compare ur child with others. some are born to be advance and smart some need an extra effort. Do know and understand ur own child. Recognize their potential and enhance the capability.

Im a kind of very fussy and meticulous person particularly what beauty product i "feed" my skin....the concern is chemical ingredients added by manufacturer to the product....we ever heard how hidroqunion (to whiten skin) can harm the skin and causes cancer....it s so scary to me although to others it might not an issue....normally before buying shampoo, facial wash, lotion, mosturizer etc i will read the label throughly...sometimes i googled on the ingredients they use...i believe in natural beauty...indeed i love seeing genuine beauty ....very light and simple make up...just nice...

....ok enough lets back to topic home made scrub....im sure some of us might ever make their own scrub or bedak sejuk...as for me very seldom i buy ready made scrub in the market...unless im really2 busy....i just love my homemade scrub...100% safe made from natural, pure ingredients....and to make it as easy as ABC...it much more better than those in the market....the ingredients also readily available in our kitchen....RICE (BERAS) + HONEY+ SALT+CURCUMA=BEAUTIFUL SOFT SUPPLE SKIN....i have been practice it since secondary school...its really work...do try if u don't believe...just blend rice (beras)+honey+salt+ a bit of curcuma together...tpi jangan halus sgt...biar rasa scrubnya...then before bath just apply on ur face and body..wait for 15 minutes then wash....u will feel ur skin as soft as baby....ok lets me sum up the ingredients, how to make and how to apply

I'm seriously interested with the topic "gifted child"....but why? the answer definitely I HOPE MY SON IS A GIFTED CHILD...is it over "dreaming"...NO...it might be...who know?....remember all baby are genius but we are degeniusing them in their first 6 years of life? what that mean?..we did not realize his/her potential...we underestimate his/her capability....we neglect his/her talent....we ignore his/her skill...at the end we turn our gifted child to be an ordinary...just think WHO LOSS THE GAME?...

We may have a Tiger Woods, Barrack Obama, Albert Einstein, Morzart, Newton, Bill Gates, Dakota Fanning, or Evgeny Kissin in our family, but chances are, without knowing it, and without nurturing his or her talent, our gifted child will turn out to be just…ordinary. Brain development is a dynamic process. Our kid’s intellectual growth either progresses or regresses, it doesn’t stand still. Some kids have unique intellectual skills that, when developed, will enable him to do astonishing feats and achievements. Lately I'm exteremly busy....catch up with my master thesis, manage my king and prince and doing all the house chores at the same times...being a wife, mommy, carrier woman and student at the same time is not as easy as I thought...good time management is highly needed....24 hours seems not enough at all...worst come to worst Travissh's babysitter has resigned...so mommy need to be "bibik" while looking for the new one.....while doing my work i let Travissh watching his favourite CD Baby Einstein and YBCR....I olso let him play as much as he want at the play room....I just don't care if he were to make the room messy as long I still have even a little time to update my thesis....the work is getting more and tougher as im most close to the real survey....3 years leaving university without bother about research then have to review it again....really make my brain malfunction....luckily i did not take a risk doing straight to PHD....perhaps after this i will not update my blog as usual....time seem envy me...ahaks...t

Although you are fluent in English and Iban, although mommy has taught you Japanese and French but it is not enough...although at home mommy has taught you reading & learning using brillkid software, Baby Einstein Series, Peter & Jane, Leapfrog, CrocoPenYBCR,etc but learning with friends at school will be more exciting dear....although you have mastered counting 1-10, A-Z but the teacher here will guide you how to write....indeed sometimes mommy is so busy ...

First day at school you are sleeping while others are studying....but 2-3 days you start to get use with the timetable.....you also a bit crumpy at first but then everything is so fine..you love being at school...you love making friends..although you are one of the youngest but most talkactive and playful....teacher told you are very fast learner...mommy so proud to have very smart son.....make ur bright way to be a future PILOT...

THE WAY I TEACH LITTLE EINSTEIN TO BE A FAST TALKER...my gifted child

Last weekend a friend of mine...my ex U mate....suddenly chat me via FB "Agnes I'm so worried my 15 months daughter haven't utter any exact words except for mommy & daddy....wonder why vish can speak more than 50 words at 14 months...what method do you use?"...in fact i have received a lot of similar questions from many parents...they are amaze becoz vish can speak very early..he also fast learner....he start saying meaningful words as early as 7 months or less DADDY, POOH, and few which i not really recall (need to refer my previous post)....

As a mother i really proud with Vish development and progress...at 14 months he can say his own name (VISH)..and pronounce daddy name (TANGAI) at 16 months....now he mastered 1-10 and A-Z (sometimes he miss one or two alphabet) to be frank i never taught him both numbers and alphabets formally... all this while i emphasize more on phonic particularly on YBCR and LR...for me just knowing ABC is nothing if they can't combine the alphabet to form the word....but it is a bonus he can read and sing the ABC song as well...what so special about him is he use to speak by combining both words from English and Iban.....example...."habis" then "no more"....."sit down" then "duduk"...."nice" then "nyamai" then "sedaap" etc...he is bilingual baby...now he start to learn Mandarin, Japan and French language with the aid of CD...not much but a least to catch up a bit..

Honestly i have spend so much for his education materials....from simple books to sophisticated electronic devices...just name it ..Leapfrog program, Little Reader & Little Math, Robin, Croco Pen etc.....he has all...completly...I just wonder why some parents prefer to buy electronic games as compare to educational program...well it individual preferance....

Back to topic, in fact we should start talking with our unborn fetus right after we found out that we are bearing a baby....that what i have been practiced... i talk a lot with Vish...added advantage I myself was a lecturer before...so the whole day he listening to me mumbling..scolding...screaming...talking...etc....now he really good in it..not only good but mastered...and I also have an adult talk with him...no baby language hence he can pronounce most of the easy words clearly...not all child are fast track..some of them might be slow while some might be advance but they grow uniquely...we shouldn't comparing with others..just accept who they are....do not push...

But I never force vish to "study"...I'll stop teaching him before he get bored...i want him to feel he need more knowledge..dig..dig..dig...i let him learn while he play..example learn counting while eating coco crunch..simple is it?...thanks God the method is work...I also brought him outside to explore the environment...see the green grass...touch the brown soil....listen to bird singing...etc...

Yesterday the three of us went to bookstore to top up Travissh collection...mommy as usual being busy searching for books at kids section while daddy looking for "financial mgt" book...that i ever told that my beloved hubby is very much to financial matters...he talks nothing except for money...before i was not so happy to figure out he is a "haji bakhil" or being thrifty...

...so he bought this book for us to read and become guideline.. he has the target to be a millionaire...has a million in saving...personally this book really open my eyes...window of opportunity to become a millionaire with the right method...Zaid the author almost achieve his millionaire title eventhough he just working as a Senior Manager......believe it wealth not necessary inherited but with determination we can achieve it....so now i in the process of joining dearest hubby to achieve this target....

I really admire how Zaid manage his family financial matters...his wife need to resign to look after the children..they has 4 wonderful kids...achievers in school....very good in saving guided by their super wonderful parents....so i want my little handsome Vish to be like them....no merely know how to spend..

Honestly all this while since little kid big spender...maybe I used to be spoil by my parent..get everything i want and live in luxury since birth...but i never remember although we inherited the wealth from our parent without proper management from rich we can become poor...but i consider myself to be very lucky as my hubby is very good in finance..he save his money a lot...although from wealthy family but live in "moderation"...moderate in everything...he will think million of times before buying thing unlike me..

Yes i have spend so much..buy branded expensive clothes, home appliance, toys, etc..although most of it never been use...I have overspoil vish with all the luxury...just look at his things...kalah kedai toys and kids department...all becoz of lust....temptation over need....I admit i have wrong in that way....I olso quite too much in decoration..buy rm10K set of sofa which is not necessary...buy fireplace that quite costly..etc.........

so we set a target to become a millionaire if not half millionaire at the age of 40...what i mean here in our saving withouth being touch for personal use...the money that make more money and separate from daily/monthly/yearly expenses...actually everyone can be a millionaire with the right method....there is not concept of being not enough money...

WHAT MOMMY EAT DURING PREGNANCY

Many have asking me what did i eat during pregnancy?....and I have shared it with many of my relatives and friends....Food and supplements during pregnancy is extremely important to ensure your baby have enough nutrients and be healthy and smart...coz im a kind of fussy and particular yet meticulious person I really concern about my foods and supplement intake...Thanks God...Vish born to be healthy and smart baby...without skin problem or jaundice like most baby tend to have....he is fast learner and fast talker...start walking as early as 9 months....pronounce his own name as early as 14 months....he understand both English and Iban very well...talk clearly with minimal baby accent...he is very smart baby indeed...I don't care if people said im too much praises my own son...so what???

Back to topic...when i figure out that im bearing a baby...first come to my mind is i want healthy and smart baby...so it come from food, supplement and stimulation...so i did a research...read a lot of pregnancy book and dig from online sourc...and olso get info from a mom...First thing came to my mind is "food"...what are the good food for preggy? ..im a food lover...i just love eating.....I ensure that i took all the nutrients from the food pyramid..must be in balance ratio...carbo..protien..fat...I eat a lot of fruits and veggies...5 serving perday....undeniable it good for skin...I love corn, grapes, kiwi, pear and apple...preferably organic...don't forget drink a lot of water...this is particularly important to avoid "kaki kembang"...

...it was our 2nd day at sabah...as we not really familiar with the place daddy has decided to use travel agent...including bbq lunch it cost RM180 per person trip to 5 islands...worth it...food olso not bad...how i wish Kuching has beautiful stunning beach like here... i love it white beach & wonderful sea very much...sunbath..snorkeling...we were having fun at Manukan, Mamutik and Sapi island..however for Gaya and Suluk we only passed by...Vish enjoy himself very much..he even refused to go back...playing with the sand..feeding the fish although not allowed...actually two taiwan girl were giving him corn to feed the fish..he LOL when fishes come over and eat the corn...luckily vish were sleeping at sapi island so mommy and daddy managed to snorkel...

percaya tak i tak masuk preschool/tadika masa kanak2 dulu..i direct darjah 1..tapi daddy dah ajar A BC dan 123 kat rumah sikit2 so bolehlah...masa tu i kagum dengan rakan sekelas yang dah pandai baca sentence sedangkan i hanya pandai ABC jer tu pun bukanya complete pun..menulis belum lagi...i jenis budak yang nakal dan suka main..berkawan pun dengan kebanyakan budak lelaki ...cikgu ajar kat depan i main tikam2 dibelakang sampai kena denda...tapi i managed to get no.2 dalam kelas seramai 30 lebih kalau tak silap dan maintain no.2 sampai darjah 6...eh kenapa tak i tak pernah dpt 1st yer...so UPSR i dapat 3A 1C...C tu apa ya..Math of course..FYI i benci dengan Maths..tpi i paling suka English...kalau dah namanya benci nak buat exercise pun malas...jdi camna nak score...

masuk sekolah menengah daddy antar belajar kat girl school..semuanya budak perempuan belaka...alahai boringnyer takde lelaki...boy school pulak kat seberang jalan...still juga dengan perangai lama main2 tapi study tetap focus...i pastikan i faham apa yang cikgu ajar, buat homework dan buat exam sebaik mungkin...dari form 1 to 5 macam kat sekolah rendah i still dapat no.2...memang tak pernah nak menyangkut nya no.1 tu....namun selalu dapat highest utk subject Economic, Science, & Geography secara keseluruhan...PMR i dapat 5A 2B..bolehlah kan...still belum dpt kategory cemerlang tuh..SPM pulak i dapat 5A1, 3B, 1C...C tu apa tak perlu nak tanya...Maths...haha...

bila dah terima result SPM...semuanya sibuk nak isi borang UPU termasuklah i sendiri..beli borang lepas tu main isi jer..coz sebenarnya belum tahu minat yang sebenar benarnya..kejap minat law kejap minat business kejap minat social science...main hentam jer...yang peliknya dari 8 pilihan kursus semuanya i pilih kat UIA dan 1 kat UiTM...wahal kat situ stated masuk UIA mesti ada ambil pendidikan Islam...bila result UPU keluar i diterima masuk DIPLOMA IN OFFICE MANAGEMENT AND TECHNOLOGY...syok sgt masuk U bukan sebab nak belajar tapi syok nak jumpa ramai kawan dan enjoy seperti drama dalam TV....tapi yg tak syoknya masa minggu orentasi..kena ragging dek senior..bayangkan pukul 3pagi disuruh berbaris di padang...rasa nya pengsan tak cukup tidor...masa diploma i ada best friend Angie namanya...kita 2 orang pantang hari jumaat wajib tengok wayang sampai sanggup ponteng kelas insan dan agama...lepas tu merayap kat pasar..apa nak jadi da...result masa diploma not bad...dua kali dapat anugerah dekan dan tamat dengan CGPA; 3.4....(sungguh tak cantik result itu)..takpe tebus masa degree nanti...azam tuh..aik bru skarang ada azam???

lepas habis diploma memang nak continue degree terus tak nak kerja dulu...apply dapat Degree in Admin Science tapi nampaknya kurang sesuai dengan otak i yang tak dapat nak menghafal ni terus tukar Degree in Business Admin major Marketing...ha bermulalah perjuangan yang maha hebat...azam nak jadi Best Student dan dapat Anugerah Naib Canselor...nak bergaya pakai sach masa konvo kononya...i dah tak tinggal asrama lagi coz dah kahwin...aik kahwin awal nampak kata sesetengah orang...muda muda dah pikul tangunggjawab sebagai seorang isteri...dapatkah aku??? nasib En.Tangai seorang yg understanding dan beri full support...ha kalau korang nak tahu beliaulah sifu i yang selalu mengajar subject yg berkaitan dengan calculation..naik pening sifu ajar murid dia yang sememangnya bebal math..haha...

walaupun azam i nak dapat anugerah segala bagai masa degree namun perangai yang suka main2 dan duduk belakang sejak dari darjah 1 tak dapat dibuang...sapa tak kenal agnes si mulut becok..pensyarah sibuk mengajar i pulak sibuk pass note ngan kawan...mengumpat dibelakang...tapi i ada rahsia utk mendapat result yg cemerlang...bukan meniru ya..dosa tau..iaitu FOCUS + FAHAM dan STUDY SMART not hard...i akan pastikan i betul2 faham apa yg diajar even tetap main2 otak berfungsi babe...balik terus buat nota ringkas supaya senang nak recap masa nak exam...

satu lagi i tak sukalah nak tension2 belajar...buat revision macam esok sudah tiada...boleh buat gila tuh...kalau rakan2 yang lain struggle nak revise utk final exam masa study week i pulak mengatal nak tengok wayang, picnic, pergi event itu ini, jalan2 kat shopping complex...dan segala macam...i cuma revise kalau esok exam utk that subject...sanggup tak tidur..tapi itu style i jangan pulak ada yg ikut last minute study ni..lain org lain method yg berkesan ya...masa exam i bykkan makan ikan dan kismis..i pun makan gingko biloba tablet utk menguatkan daya ingatan coz im a kind of person yang memori tak berapa nak kuat..ekeke..itulah byk tak ingat nama org sampai org kat sombong...

akhirnya azam i terlaksana...tiap2 semester dapat Anugerah Dekan...kemudian masa pregraduation nite dapat Best Student dan dapat Anugerah Naib Canselor dan 1st Class Degree with CGPA 3.78, anugerah idaman setiap pelajar universiti...merasa jugak dapat sarungkan sach...dapat jugak merasa glamour masuk newspaper...cukuplah...Thanks God...rezeki kerja pun murah tak sempat rest otak dah dpt kerja jdi Marketing Exec, resign utk jadi pensyarah kat kolej swasta sebelum ditawarkan Biasiswa Tenaga Pengajar Muda UitM utk buat Master...ikutkan hati nakkalau ikutkan dapat straight PhD coz dpt 1st Class tpi takut tak dapat cope maklum tanggungjawab makin bertambah...

apapun kejayaan ini banyak dibantu oleh keluarga dan kawan2 yg memberikan sokongan..terutama daddy yg sgt tegas especially hal study anak2...kalau tak dpt top 3 dlm kelas..habis cerita...panas telinga kena sembur...

Mommy is really proud as Travissh is a fast talker & fast learner...very easy to teach him...indeed he s very talkactive..he just loves talking although his foreign language no one understand...he simply can "talk" with strangers at the shopping mall , garden, park etc....not to say that i'm intend to praise or over exaggerate my son but it s the truth...nothing wrong if a mother say a good thing about their child..it is a "prayer"..hence i never miss to say "HANDSOME CLEVER BOY" everyday..coz i believe God will hear and grant my wish...

He pronounce quite a number of words at 1 year..understand both english and Iban very well...good imitator too..so don't ever say "taboo" words when he around...amazingly..some of words that never come across to mommy mind which he able to say it out clearly..if we ask what is your name..he will answer "VISH" accompany with his cheeky smile...here are his vocabs at 15 months...some mommy might miss it out and will continue to update for him to read in the future..

many people asking me how do i teach vish to speak...my way is easy ..i talk a lot with him like an adult...i let him learn through play...i never force him to "read" the book...once he feel bored we will stop...i let him explore as much as he can...i bought a lot of books & electronic devices & educational CD as his references but not merely rely on it as a method of teaching...one to one is more important...he can imitate & mimic us...

PERSONS...he recognize most of people surround him...and suprisingly even know how to differentiate who is suppose to be called nenek, aunty, kakak and uncle if he saw people outside or in tv....but funny thing is he address toddler & kid as "baby"

My oh my quite a long time mommy did not update on Travissh teeth...now at 15 months (coming 16 months) he has 15 teeths..8 upper and 7 lower...mommy & daddy is so lucky he never get fever during teething period but he s a bit cranky moreover when his molar teeth come out...last nite he woke up at 3.30a.m and crying out loud...we have to go downstairs and play his favourite CD but yet still can't calm him down...he keep crying...mommy make a bottle of milk...he doesnt want to drink..just biting the nipple until fall asleep...this morning mommy saw his first molar & canine of lower teeth at the right side come out together...no wonder these few day he not in a good mood especially at home...amazingly when we brought outside he cheers like usuall...oh dear...

Before, when Vish was below 12 months, mommy was over crazy over Pooh & Friends stuff from bedroom set to bottle to attire & so one...and it is easy to get it anywhere in Malaysia baby department..but since Vish reach 1 year old mommy favour for Thomas & Friends and McQueen..but sadly difficult to get here....mostly have to buy online from it official website (www.thomasandfriends.com, www.thomasstation.com) which have to wait a month before arrive..or buy from a few local blogs...it also did sell at some of local babystore but very limited choice... I was lucky as i have a frens who studying at UK and I can ask her to get it from her but again have to wait for her to coming back to Malaysia and courier it from Semenanjung...I decided to get bedroom set of Thomas & Friends for Vish..Korea Made...special 2nd birthday gift next year..

Waiting his turn to be checkup & injected by Dr. Siew..his favourite paed at KPJ

These three vaccine are not provided by government to babies in Malaysia due to high cost. Hence you need to get it from private hospital if you are patronize government clinic. It is very important as we know prevention is better than cure. Remember our baby life is so fragile. As for us we do not even think when Travissh favourite paed at KPJ Hospital, Dr. Siew advice us to get these vaccine for him. We just say "Definitely we want".

Cost is not an issue even if the price reach 1k per jab I olso don't mind. He is our breath..our heart..our soul. Duit senang nak cari tapi anak? we have waiting for him for 4 years...By the way Vish has completed his pneumococcal vaccine doses and at 18 months he will have his chicken pox vaccine & meningococcal at 2 years....dear we do our best to protect you. So far Vish is blessed with good health very rare get flu, fever and cough..until now only one time fever and twice flu and he recover very fast (less than 24 hours)...he olso lucky not to have any problem during teething period...THANK GOD...Mommy has give him Cod fish liver oil & best formula milk as a weapon to strike virus...He olso fast in everything...fast learner, talker, walker, striker all he has ahead from other kid at same age..proud with u darling.

PNEUMOCOCCAL VACCINE

What are the benefits of the pneumococcal vaccine?

This vaccine protects against pneumococcal (pronounced new-m'COCKL) infections, which mostly strike children under age 5 and can lead to some of the worst childhood diseases. Pneumococcal infections are one of the most common causes of death in the United States from a disease that's preventable through a vaccine.

Before the vaccine came along, pneumococcal infection caused more than 700 cases of meningitis, 13,000 blood infections, and 5 million ear infections in children under 5 every year, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The vaccine is effective in up to 90 percent of people who get it.

The bugs responsible for pneumococcal are bacteria called Streptococcus pneumoniae. They live in the mucous lining of the nose and in the back of the throat. And when they're plentiful enough, they can cause an infection in the respiratory tract, middle ear, or sinus cavities. Antibiotics such as penicillin can kill them, but up to 40 percent of the strains are resistant to antibiotics.

Pneumococcal bacteria spread by close contact and through coughing and sneezing. Diseases such as meningitis and pneumonia can crop up within days of infection.

Symptoms of pneumococcal pneumonia usually include fever and chills with shaking or trembling, as well as chest pain, coughing, shortness of breath, rapid breathing, rapid heart rate, fatigue, and weakness. Nausea, vomiting, and headaches are also associated with pneumococcal pneumonia, but are less common.

Pneumococcal bacteria also cause some of the most serious ear infections in children.

News about the latest pneumococcal vaccine

In February 2010, the FDA licensed a new vaccine to prevent pneumococcal disease in children: Prevnar 13, or PCV13. PCV13 protects against more strains of pneumococcal bacteria than the previous vaccine, PCV7.

This protection is important because PCV7 doesn’t protect against certain strains of bacteria that have become more common in recent years. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the new vaccine offers protection against the strains of pneumococcal bacteria that most often cause severe pneumococcal infections in children.

Are there any precautions I should take?

Mildly ill children can be vaccinated. But if your child has a high fever or a severe illness, such as pneumonia, wait until his health improves before taking him in for the vaccine. He'll be better able to handle the immunization when he's healthy.

What are the possible side effects?

About a quarter of vaccinated children have redness, discomfort, or swelling at the site of the injection. Up to a third develop a fever of over 100.4 degrees. One in 50 has a higher fever of over 102.2 degrees.

CHICKEN POX VACCINE

What are the benefits of the chicken pox vaccine?

It may seem unnecessary, because childhood chicken pox (also known as varicella) is usually a relatively mild illness. And some parents think it's better to let their kids be exposed to chicken pox so they'll have the illness (and the resulting immunity) naturally.

But most experts now recommend the chicken pox vaccine, and many schools and daycare centers require it. Here's why:

1) Chicken pox is no party. If your child gets it, he's likely to develop a rash of itchy, painful blisters accompanied by fever and fatigue. If the blisters get infected, he may need antibiotics. They may also leave permanent scars, possibly on his face. If he's going to daycare or school when he gets chicken pox, he'll have to stay home for eight or nine days.

2) Chicken pox can be serious and even deadly. Before the vaccine came along, an average of 10,600 hospitalizations and 100 to 150 deaths caused by chicken pox occurred annually in the United States. Most of the severe complications and deaths occurred in previously healthy people.

3) The vaccine will protect your child from the worst of this illness. While the vaccine isn't 100 percent effective (about 15 percent of vaccinated children still get chicken pox), vaccinated children who come down with it will have only very mild symptoms. That usually means fewer than 50 blisters, no fever, and less sick time.

4) The vaccine can help protect your child against a related disease called shingles. About 10 percent of adults who have chicken pox earlier in life get this rash of extremely painful and disfiguring blisters that can be inches across.

Shingles appears when the chicken pox virus, which lives forever in the central nervous system, "reawakens" and becomes active again. People who have been vaccinated against chicken pox may still get shingles but will have a much less severe case than those who had the disease itself.

For all these reasons, both the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) have put the chicken pox vaccine on the schedule of recommended immunizations.

Who shouldn't get the chicken pox vaccine?

A child who has ever had a severe allergic reaction to gelatin (yes, the stuff that's in Jell-O) or the antibiotic neomycin. If he has a severe allergic reaction to his first vaccination, he shouldn't receive a second.

If your child has cancer or any disease that affects his immune system, has recently had a blood transfusion, or is taking high doses of oral steroids (for asthma or poison ivy, for instance), his doctor will carefully evaluate whether receiving the vaccine is a good idea.

Is the chicken pox vaccine a live vaccine?

Varicella is a live-attenuated vaccine, which means it's a live virus that's been weakened so that it won't cause the disease. Instead, the virus will replicate in the cells of the body and cause it to produce an immune response, which should protect against a real chicken pox infection.

What are the possible side effects?

About 20 percent of children will have some soreness at the site of the injection. About 10 percent will have a low-grade fever. About 4 percent will have a mild rash (around ten chicken pox—like blisters).

Fewer than one in a thousand will have a seizure caused by high fever. Though these febrile seizures may seem scary, they're almost always harmless for the child. But you should call your doctor right away if your child has one.

MENINGOCOCCAL VACCINE

This vaccine protects against meningococcal disease. Before the vaccine came along, meningococcal disease was the leading cause of bacterial meningitis (an infection of fluid around the brain and spinal cord) in children in the United States.

Between 1,000 and 2,600 people in the United States get meningococcal disease each year, and 1 in 10 people dies from it. The disease can also cause loss of limbs, deafness, mental retardation, stroke, and other serious problems.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control (CDC) recommends that children receive a single dose of the meningococcal vaccine (MCV4) at their routine, preadolescent doctor's visit (11 to 12 years of age). Kids who miss that dose, the CDC says, should get it at the earliest opportunity. College freshmen living in dormitories and teenagers ages 15 to19 have an increased risk of getting meningococcal disease. The vaccine is also recommended for certain high-risk children ages 2 to 10.
